Starting in 2024 Beach Parking Permits are only valid in beach access parking lots. There is no residential free parking on the road shoulder. Anyone adding a Golf Cart on their account will need to stop by City Hall with appropriate documentation (proof of insurance, current state registration with Folly address, valid driver’s license) to obtain their City registration decal.

Upload TWO documents:
SCDMV registration per Vehicle and/or Golf Cart *Golf Cart owners will enter their SC registration number for their Golf Cart in the vehicle plate field
PROOF of Folly Beach Full-Time Residency (choose one of the following approved documents to submit with your application):
Driver’s license w/ Folly Beach Residential address
Utility bill w/ Folly Beach Residential address
Voter’s Registration card w/ Folly Beach Residential address
Lease agreement w/ Folly Beach Residential address and Letter from Owner stating:
(a) applicant is leasing unit for 90+ consecutive days
(b) applicant has permission to live-in unit with expectation of 90+ consecutive days

You may register 1 vehicle or golf cart.
